Can’t log in or want to access your orders from before October 2021?
We upgraded the site in October 2021, and unfortunately, we could not transfer old accounts or previous orders. We apologize for any inconvenience, but you will need to set up a new account here. To access previous orders, contact Designer Services. If you are tax exempt, you must re-add that to your new account.

Can I mix and match styles?
Yes, you are able to mix different styles to meet the minimum purchase requirement. Please feel free to contact us directly in order to place your order when you wish to mix and match the different styles.

Do you offer a designer discount?
As nearly all of our customers are designers, we have trade pricing listed on the site for everyone. A few lines have additional discounts on quantities of 100 linear feet or more.

Are there any handling fees?
There are no handling fees unless special needs/circumstances are pre-negotiated.

Do I have to pay state sales and use taxes?
If your order is shipping to Maryland or to a state with remote economic nexus laws, you must pay standard sales and use taxes unless you are a tax-exempt reseller.

Do I need to set up an account before I can order?
No, but setting up an account allows you to readily view your orders, save shipping addresses, and set up tax-exempt status.

How do I make my Books by the Foot account tax exempt?
Create your account online then enter your tax information and check off tax exempt. Designer Services will contact you with any issues regarding your tax exempt status.

Are your products real books or faux books?
All of our styles are real, readable books except for the “Faux Book Accent”.

Can I choose the titles going into my order?
While we are happy to narrow down your order by genre, subject, color, size, and even wrapping materials, we are not able to pull specific titles. Please feel free to search our sister site at WonderBook.com for any individual titles that you may need.

I need books that I do not see on your site, will you take special requests?
We are always willing to try and meet any challenges and special requests. If you need a certain color/shade of a book, or perhaps a different subject/genre than what is being offered, please feel free to contact us directly for a quote.

Can I return my order?
Returns are accepted when an error has been made on our part, i.e. you ordered blue and we sent red. Otherwise, all sales are final. If there is ever a problem or concern regarding your order, please contact Designer Services, and we will be happy to try and resolve any issues. Refused packages are subject to a restocking fee with shipping costs being non-refundable both ways.

Do you buy books?
We buy all books in person at any of our Wonder Book retail stores in Maryland.

Do you have gift certificates?
No, we removed gift certificates due to lack of popularity. However, if you have one from our old site, please reach out to Designer Services.
